Since 2005, PilotWorkshops has been delivering online proficiency training with its award-winning team of instructors. We began by transitioning Pilot’s list of around 190,000 subscribers from another email marketing platform to MailChimp, creating one master list with more than 40 groups. Pilot sends weekly campaigns ranging from newsletters, sales emails, and triggered automations. Pilot’s weekly newsletter is sent to about 155,000 subscribers and is always increasing. The newsletter is one of many custom dynamic emails that we have created for this client, including a change from a one-column template to a custom two-column template. With the integration of WooCommerce and MailChimp, we also have implemented automated emails triggered on purchase activity and subscriber behavior. As a strictly e-commerce client, Pilot’s sales emails are the backbone of its business. All these new email innovations have helped PilotWorkshops achieve a 60% sales increase compared to last year.
Annalee Dolls have been warming the hearts of families and collectors since 1934. The FirstTracks digital marketing team developed an online marketing strategy to drive meaningful traffic to the site. We set up pay per click and email campaigns and targeted promotions backed by site analytics and data focused on sales. Weekly emails are sent to the company’s list, which is then followed up with a resend to anyone who did not open the first send. Among those emails include segmented sends to a variety of different audiences, including best customers, people who have not opened emails within a specific time period, customers who have not made purchases within certain periods, and people who have never purchased. Since launching these campaigns, Annalee has experienced a 1409% PPC ROAS improvement, a 108% increase in email subscribers, and a 48% increase in its e-commerce conversion rate.
We worked closely with ShadowTrader to help redesign and relaunch its website in June 2018. The ShadowTrader websites features several different paid memberships for specific types of trading marketplaces. All of these access methods needed a tight integration with ShadowTrader’s email platform. We helped to program and implement custom fields that use the MailChimp API to pass back and forth the membership program statuses from the website. This information is then tied to automations we set up to manage the welcome and cancellation message handling for the system. We also better organized the ShadowTrader list using groups and custom segments. This helps keep the various custom lists up to date and easier to access. It also allows for more targeted email marketing messages as well as levering the ongoing automations. Since FirstTracks began working on the ShadowTrader website and email marketing integrations the company’s list has grown by 44%. In addition, e-commerce sales direct from email campaigns have grown by 9% adding 49% more transactions from the email channel since June 2018.
