A primary foundation of the project was a total rebuild of the product catalog. Making sure your data is setup properly, organized and accessible to all your marketplaces the way they need to receive it is a crucial foundation to any successful e-commerce effort. Golfers are specific about their gear, and the previous site made it difficult to explore what they had to offer. We rebuilt all their products from the ground up (including new professional photography for every product) to make sure product types, attributes and all other aspects were setup, optimized and configured properly to better allow for:

  • Advanced Product Filtering: Helping users quickly drill down by brand, club type, and specifications.
  • Complex Bundles & Kits: Proper catalog setup allowed for the flexibility for the client to create custom product bundles, providing more value to customers and increasing average order value (AOV).
  • Optimized Data Feeds: Proper catalog setup also allowed for proper shopping feeds for Google Merchant Center and Facebook, ensuring every product and bundle was perfectly synced for high-intent shopping campaigns and remarketing.

Visual & Functional Redesign for Conversions

Beyond the product catalog overhaul work, we improved the entire “path to purchase.” Our creative team overhauled the homepage and all critical e-commerce real estate, including:

  • Product Archives & Details: Redesigned for clarity and speed, highlighting key product benefits, and including customer review data both from their previous system and implementing the new WiserReview system in our rebuild efforts. We also rebuilt their entire product addons structure to work properly as previous developers had done some pretty hacky implementations that were inefficient and unstable.
  • Cart & Checkout Optimization: We streamlined the checkout flow to reduce friction, which directly contributed to a massive surge in successful transactions. We also integrated additional payment options for buyers as well. At specific pricing thresholds the site now features an integration with Affirm allowing buyers to pay for their clubs in smaller installments.
  • Klaviyo Integration: We setup Golf Clubs Fore Less with an integration with Klaviyo which handles a variety of automations for them including browse abandonment, first time buyer welcome series and abandoned cart. All of which are contributing significant revenue generation to their bottom line each month.

With a high-converting site as the home base, we scaled visibility across Paid and Organic channels. By improving the site’s technical SEO using RankMath and SEM Rush and content structure, organic visibility skyrocketed. There was a major effort in rebuilding the catalog itself in the sense that the products and domain had been in place for a long time so we had to be thoughtful about how we went about it. Keeping the old product URLS in place for the new kit products we created allowed for keeping legacy reviews intact and made sure any existing SEO equity that was already in place was not lost.

Simultaneously, our paid media efforts in Google Ads and Meta Ads leveraged the newly optimized product feeds to drive hyper-targeted traffic that converted at rates they have never seen before. Their historical ROAS averages for Google were around 50% not even at break even, by the end of our engagement in March 2026 their ROAS in Google was at 500%! If you compared the 1st quarter results for 2026 YOY their ROAS increased by 548%! Now that’s a sustainable advertising program!
