Boston Inbound Marketing Conference 2019

For the second year in a row, FirstTracks Marketing Agency attended the Boston Inbound Marketing Conference. This event is great for high-level inspirational takeaways that amp up the team. This year Jess Falkenham (Marketing Manager) and I, Matt Nelson (President), came back with numerous ideas for improving how we do business. We also gathered key information to better guide our clients’ businesses into their most successful holiday season yet.

These were our top 3 takeaways from the event this year:

  1. How you sell is how you win.
  2. Being different isn’t just okay, it’s BETTER!
  3. Take a harder look at organizational KPIs and how we measure and track success.

Digital Agency Expo 2019

I also traveled to New York for the Digital Agency Expo. In NYC, I met and learned from other digital agency owners from all around the world. It was exciting to share experiences with other agencies. I definitely spent the better part of the week nodding in agreement with a lot of the ‘tell me does this sound like your agency’ questions being asked.  And that wasn’t a bad thing. I definitely walked away feeling proud and excited. FirstTracks Marketing has grown quite a bit over the past 10 years and the opportunity we have in front of us is exciting. Ultimately, I realized that there is a lot we are doing well and a lot we can improve on. I had so many “oh my gosh, I can’t wait to start doing that” moments throughout the conference. I’m excited to be back in the office and working toward the future.

Here were our top 3 takeaways from the event:

  1. Spend more time working on the business instead of in it
  2. Stop trading hours for service
  3. Productize and systemize what we do, allowing us to scale easier

Fourth Quarter Here We Come!

The timing of all of this inspiration is perfect as we celebrate our 10th year of operation this month (more on that soon). We are in the throws of redesigning and rebuilding our own website and getting ready to crush our eCommerce clients sales goals this holiday season. The sparks are flowing and we have some inspired direction heading into 2020. It doesn’t mean we will be doing things extremely different, just better.

Our company goal is to position ourselves better as the premiere WordPress / WooCommerce solutions provider. Our expertise isn’t just in designing and building those platforms but maximizing their effectiveness to deliver and convert sales.
