Climax Jerky is the only family-owned Colorado jerky brand delivering all-natural, gourmet, and fresh products. Climax Jerky came to FirstTracks Marketing looking for help with a complete redesign of its current WordPress / WooCommerce website as well as some marketing systems help to enhance online sales reach and growth.
Upscaling design while increasing functionality
The new Climax Jerky WordPress Website features a much cleaner and dramatic presentation that connects the user with the key brand points and product quality quicker. Our goal was to make the website look more enticing and perform better but also more accessible and easy for the team at Climax Jerky to edit and manage. We accomplished this by rebuilding the WordPress site using a brand new theme that is built and managed with the WordPress Guttenberg editor. Now the Climax Jerky team has easy access to control and manipulate every aspect of its website without having to know anything about website programming or code.
Product organization and improving mobile
When reviewing the site analytics for the Climax Jerky website we could see that mobile devices were responsible for 52% of the company’s total online sales and traffic, and growing. This was a major opportunity for Climax Jerky to convert more customers. We took special care and attention with details to ensure that the new responsive mobile design of the new website was clean, sleek, and easy to use. In the first week after launching the new site, mobile conversions were up 52% . The refreshed and more organized design coupled with the newly implemented product attributes and filtering tools makes it faster and easier for customers to find what they like based on their tastes and preferences. All of these combined details has lead to an early increase of total revenue of 185%! We are thrilled with the results.
Early returns looking excellent!
Since going live with the new website in July 2021, early numbers are looking great. Sessions are up, session duration has doubled, bounce rate has gone down, and, most importantly, revenue and conversion rates are up. In addition to the website improvements, the FirstTracks team rebuilt and relaunched all Climax Jerky email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo. The new system also handles all of Climax Jerky’s abandoned cart, browse abandonment, welcome series, and ongoing email campaign sends. We are excited to continue to support these efforts going forward to help Climax Jerky achieve its sales and growth goals.
