Below are 8 questions that were posted almost 10 years ago by Seth Godin, one of my favorite marketing authors. I had originally answered these questions back in early 2010 in a blog post and thought it would be interesting to do it again 10 years later to see how we have changed over the years. I encourage you to take a few minutes to do this for your own business. Just be sure once you answer each of the questions you ask yourself “why” after you read each answer. Enjoy!
1. Who are you trying to please?

2. What are you promising?
FirstTracks Marketing promises that we are the best partner to help you grow your business efficiently and profitably if you are running an e-commerce operation on WordPress and WooCommerce and making at least $500K in annual revenue. We can promise this because we have been building, designing, managing, and marketing successful e-commerce websites for a long time. Plus, we have the data to prove it.
3. How much money are you trying to make?
FirstTracks Marketing isn’t trying to be the next gigantic digital agency. We have a strategically curated team of experts who are passionate about WordPress and WooCommerce e-commerce businesses. We love being able to partner with organizations that want help growing their revenue to new heights. How much money we make from these efforts feels fair compensation for providing direct access to an amazing group of experts. Our monthly retainer program structure routinely proves its worth in the form of bottom-line revenue and profits.
4. How much freedom are you willing to trade for opportunity?
We aren’t willing to trade our freedom for opportunity. Trading our freedom for opportunity would mean we aren’t staffing up our team properly. It’s very important that we are able to deliver the results our clients expect. A key component of this is making sure we do not take on more work than we are comfortable doing. Work–life balance is important to our team.
5. What are you trying to change?
