Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene is a 169-bed regional hospital located in Keene, New Hampshire. With over 125 doctors, the hospital offers a wide spectrum of primary and specialty care services and has a formal association with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
FirstTracks has designed, written, and produced more than 20 annual reports for three hospitals, a social services organization, and a senior assistance organization.
Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene turned to FirstTracks to produce its 2011-2012 annual report. The annual report would have a community-focused theme featuring prominent testimonials from patients, employees, volunteers and donors, along with lists of donors and the year’s financial statement. Promoting the Dartmouth-Hitchcock connection was also a goal. In a little over a month, the FirstTracks team was able to produce an annual report for Cheshire, including photography and content with a unique design.
The annual report was mailed to 1,200 employee households, donors, Board of Trustees, and community partners. It was distributed throughout the hospital and physician practices, and was met with widespread enthusiasm from donors, patients, volunteers and employees.

Cheshire’s fundraising figures far surpassed the previous year, including a 72% increase in online donations and a 27% increase in donors who had stopped giving in years past and returned with a donation. In the spring of 2013, Cheshire Medical Center submitted the annual report to the prestigious New England Society for Healthcare Communications for their annual Lamplighter Awards. Cheshire Medical Center and FirstTracks Marketing won the Gold Lamplighter award for the report in the publications category.
