New Baby Catalog Design

Catalog Design, Collateral Material Samples, Front Page News on January 21st, 2010 View Comments

Douglas Baby CatalogDouglas, an innovative cuddle toy company based in Keene, NH, has been in business for more than 50 years and for the past 13 years has been relying on the design and marketing experience of Bob Dukette, now Creative Director/Principal at FirstTracks.

New Market Ideas for 2010!

For 2010 we did something a little different with Douglas—we pulled all of the baby and infant related products (rattles, stuffed cuddle toys, Lil’ Snugglers™ baby blankets, Sshlumpie™ cuddlers, blankets and towels) out of the general line catalog and created a stand-alone Baby Catalog. This market does have some overlap in the general toy and gift segment, but FirstTracks Marketing Group and Douglas recognized an opportunity to zero in on an existing portion of their line and create a focused drive to expand these products to retailers that sell baby and infant related products.

As of this writing, the catalog has only been out for a couple of weeks, but is already hitting the major gift and toy shows all over the country.

This catalog, combined with a number of new product ads placed in eight gift and toy publications and a solid web presence, has helped Douglas stay competitive in this crowded market.

hi it is my first reply on this web and at first I would like to thank for the great information, which I were able to find in this and all previous topics , it really helped me a lot. I will definitely iclude this website on my rss reader ;) Also, I would like to ask – don’t you mind if I will quate some information from your website since I am writing articles for the Hub pages, Ezine and other articles directories (this is my part time job)? It would really help me with some of mine articles. Of course, I will mention your website title or URL (not all articles directories allows URL’s , so I can’t 100% promise that you will get a direct link to your blog).

Very informative post and I kind of completely agree with you (except on three points) on what you said. Keep the good work going. Your writing style is very good and I was able to understand the post clearly even though English is my second language. PS: I have already subscribed to the blog RSS feed.
